The ebooks@cambridge service is pleased to announce the purchase of the 2018 Oxford Handbooks Online collections in twelve subject areas across Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. This purchase adds to the considerable backfile of handbooks already available to the Cambridge community via the Oxford Handbooks Online platform, and has been funded by the UL’s English Collections budget, the Connell Fund, and the Squire Law Library.
The twelve subjects covered are: Archaeology, Classical Studies, Economics & Finance, History, Law, Linguistics, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Religion. Here are a few of the completed 2018 titles that are already available – click on the covers for authenticated access:
Monthly updates to the platform ensure that chapters from as yet unfinished handbook titles are available online in advance of print publication. With this, University of Cambridge registered users receive the most current, and authoritative coverage possible, although bibliographic records will not appear in iDiscover until handbook titles are complete.
Brand new titles in 2018 (not in iDiscover yet) include…
- The Oxford Handbook of Emotion Dysregulation
- The Oxford Handbook of Global Health Politics
- The Oxford Handbook of Levinas
- The Oxford Handbook of Food Ethics
- The Oxford Handbook of Music and Queerness
- The Oxford Handbook of Public Heritage Theory and Practice
Oxford Handbooks Online can be accessed on and off campus via Raven. MARC records for completed ebooks in the 2018 collections are available in iDiscover (ebooks in previous years’ collections are already searchable through iDiscover) with regular updates for completed new titles added during the year.
Please contact the ebooks@cambridge team on email@example.com if you have queries or feedback on this collection.
