Permanent purchase of the Miras Maktoob ebook collection

The Near and Middle Eastern Department of Cambridge University Library and the ebooks@cambridge team are delighted to announce that Cambridge now has permanent access to this exciting resource via Brill following a successful trial earlier in the year.

The collection currently contains 241 volumes in Persian and Arabic “originally published by the Written Heritage Research Institute (Miras Maktoob), a non-governmental organisation in Tehran … on Islamic history and culture in the broadest sense.” (from Brill’s description).  A further 7 titles are due to be added in due course to complete the collection.

Miras Maktoob ebook collection – trial access until 24 March

Cambridge staff and students now have temporary access (until 24 March) to this exciting resource via Brill.  The collection contains over 240 volumes in Persian and Arabic “originally published by the Written Heritage Research Institute (Miras Maktoob), a non-governmental organisation in Tehran … on Islamic history and culture in the broadest sense.” (from Brill’s description)
