Ebooks & ejournals who lunch

If you want to find out more about using ebooks, ejournals and databases in an informal setting, then why not pop in to one of our lunchtime drop-in sessions? Expert library staff will be on hand to answer your questions on finding, accessing and downloading the ebooks, ejournals and databases provided for you by your libraries. Please do bring your phones, laptops, and tablets  if you have queries about downloading articles or ebooks.

There will be an entirely optional short e-resource-related quiz, if you complete it you can win a small prize. There will also be some supplier freebies such as bags and pens available for all, and maybe even some edible goodies.

Venue: Alison Richards atrium (ground floor)

Days: Tuesday 17th October & Monday 6th November

Time: 12.45 – 2pm (drop in anytime during your lunch break)

We will be there on the sofa area outside the cafe, please come and say hello!

The Colleges on the Hill – ebooks drop-in session

If you want to find out more about how to find, use, and download academic ebooks, please come along to the Ray Kelly Room in Fitzwilliam College Library on Wednesday 28th October. The ebooks@cambridge team will be there to answer your ebook questions.

Please drop in anytime between 3.30 and 4.30pm, there’s no formal presentation, it’s just a chance for you to ask us any questions you may have about using the ebooks the libraries buy for you to help support your studies. If you use a mobile device for reading and downloading ebooks onto, please bring it along.

Psychology Library e-books drop-in sessions

The Psychology Department Library team are running a drop-in session next week for any questions you might have on using Psychology e-books.

Location: Student Common Room, 1st floor of the department (next door to the Library), Department of Pyschology

Times: drop in with your questions anytime 1-2 pm

Got a question about searching the e-books collection?

Why not come along and speak to a member of the Department of Psychology’s Library team who will be joined by the ebooks@cambridge team.

If you simply want to know a bit more the team will also be happy to talk to you about e-books in general and why you should consider using them during your studies.

And, as if finding out about e-books wasn’t good enough already, coffee and doughnuts will be provided.

History e-resources drop-in sessions

The Seeley Library team are running two drop-in sessions next week covering all things History e-resources…

Times: drop in with your questions anytime 1-2 pm

Not sure what are the most important resources for your paper? Want to find an article online but no idea how? Or having trouble accessing an e-book? Chemistry Drop-in Session

Want to learn more about how to find and use the ebooks which your libraries purchase for you? Have you got a Kindle, an iPad, a Nook, or a Smart Phone but aren’t sure which of the library ebooks you can read or download onto it?

Come along to the next ebooks@cambridge lunchtime drop-in session and bring your devices if you have one, otherwise just bring yourself! All students and staff are welcome to drop by and ask us questions.
